Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Slice the onion into thin rings. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of oil and sauté the onions until they are charred and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Once done, remove and let it drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the skillet over high heat, place the patties and sear for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Cheeseburgers

Toast the brioche buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, add mustard, pickles, the cooked patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and top with charred onions. Place the top half of the bun on and serve immediately.
