Preparation

1

Prepare the Glass

Select a sturdy glass, ideally a highball glass, and set it aside.

2

Muddle Mint and Lime

In the prepared glass, add the fresh mint leaves and cut the lime into wedges. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves and lime wedges together. This releases the mint oils and lime juice, creating a fragrant base.

3

Add Simple Syrup

Pour the simple syrup over the muddled mint and lime mixture. This will add sweetness to balance the tartness of the lime.

Mixing

4

Add Rum

Pour the white rum into the glass over the muddled mixture.

5

Add Club Soda

Top the mixture with club soda, pouring carefully to maintain the fizz.

Garnishing

6

Garnish the Drink

Add the mint sprigs and lime wedges as garnish for a fresh touch. You can place the mint sprigs upright in the drink and arrange the lime wedges on the rim.

7

Stir and Serve

Use a straw or a spoon to stir the drink gently to combine the ingredients. Serve immediately, and enjoy your refreshing mojito!
