1

Chill glass

Optional: Place a highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare ingredients to chill the glass.

2

Mix base

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add 2 oz Bacardi Limón, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup. (If you prefer less sweet, reduce simple syrup to 0.25 oz.)

3

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels cold. This chills and dilutes the ingredients properly.

4

Prepare glass

Discard ice water from the chilled glass if used. Fill the glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup).

5

Combine and top

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice. Top with approximately 3 oz soda water, pouring gently to preserve carbonation.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a lemon twist tucked into the drink for added aroma (optional). Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer so the drink can be adjusted to taste.

7

Notes

Adjust sweetness and acidity to preference—more lime for tartness, more simple syrup for sweetness. For a stronger lemon aroma, use a lemon peel expressed over the drink before garnishing. To make a pitcher: multiply quantities by number of servings and add soda just before serving to keep fizz.
