Cocktail

Method

Rim and Prepare Glass

1

Choose a rocks or coupe glass (6–8 oz). Pour Tajin and optional coarse salt onto a small plate and mix to combine.

2

Run the lime wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten evenly.

3

Dip the moistened rim of the glass into the Tajin mixture, twisting to coat. Set the glass aside.

Mixing the Cocktail

4

Build and Shake

In a cocktail shaker, add ice, 2 oz habanero Scoville vodka, 0.75 oz orange curaçao, 0.5 oz Ancho Reyes, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz pineapple juice, 0.75 oz passion fruit purée, and 0.25 oz simple syrup.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.

6

Double-strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into the prepared Tajin-rimmed glass over fresh ice (or serve neat in chilled coupe if preferred).

Garnish

7

Garnish with a small pineapple wheel or leaf on the rim and optionally a thin wedge of lime. If desired, sprinkle a tiny pinch of Tajin on the surface of the drink for additional aroma.

Serving & Notes

8

Serve immediately. Adjust heat by reducing habanero vodka to 1.5 oz or using less Ancho Reyes if a milder chili presence is preferred. If the passion fruit purée is very sweet, reduce simple syrup to 0.125 oz.
