Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Filet Mignon

Season the filet mignon with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling.

2

Prepare the BCN Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes until tender.

3

Prepare the Glazed Pearl Onions

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pearl onions and cook until they are golden. Stir in the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar and cook until the onions are glazed, about 10 minutes.

4

Prepare Grandma's Sauce

In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in the tomato sauce and season with salt, black pepper, and basil. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Grilling the Filet Mignon

5

Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the filet mignon for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serving

6

Plate the Dish

Slice the filet mignon and serve it alongside the roasted BCN potatoes and glazed pearl onions. Drizzle Grandma’s sauce over the steak and enjoy!
