1. Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Carefully add the vodka to the skillet and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off.

4. Incorporate Tomatoes and Cream

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and heavy cream. Simmer the sauce for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

5. Add Cheese and Seasonings

Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the cheese to melt into the sauce.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

6. Toss Pasta

Add the drained penne pasta to the skillet with the vodka sauce. Toss to combine until the pasta is evenly coated.
