Method
Preparation of Salad Base
Wash and Chop Romaine Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Shake off excess water and chop into bite-sized pieces.
Grate Parmesan Cheese
Use a grater to finely grate the parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Prepare Croutons
If using store-bought croutons, measure out 1 cup. If making homemade croutons, cut bread into cubes, toss with olive oil and seasonings, then bake until golden and crisp.
Preparation of Caesar Dressing
Mix Dressing Ingredients
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.
Season the Dressing
Add salt and black pepper to the dressing mixture, adjusting to taste. Mix again to combine.
Assembly of Caesar Salad
Toss Salad Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce. Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss to coat evenly.
Add Parmesan and Croutons
Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese and croutons over the dressed lettuce. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.
Serve
Serve immediately in chilled plates for a fresh and crisp Caesar salad experience.
