Base & Dilution

Milk / Milk Alternative (optional)

Method

Build the Drink

1

Prepare Glass

Choose a 10–12 fl oz serving glass. Fill the glass with 4 ice cubes to chill and leave room for liquids.

2

Pour 6 fl oz of cold water (or sparkling water for a fizzy Monin shot) into the chilled glass over the ice.

3

Add 0.5 fl oz (about 1 pump) of the Monin flavored syrup into the water. For a stronger flavor or larger glass, adjust up to 1 fl oz (2 pumps) as desired.

4

If you prefer a sweeter drink beyond the syrup’s sweetness, add 0.25 fl oz simple syrup and stir gently to combine.

5

If making a creamy variation, slowly pour 2 fl oz milk or milk alternative over the back of a spoon so it layers gently on top of the flavored water; otherwise omit for a clear flavored shot.

Finish & Garnish

6

Give the drink a brief stir (2–3 seconds) to combine the syrup and water while preserving some texture if milk was layered; avoid over-stirring if you used sparkling water to keep fizz.

7

Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and/or a citrus wheel or a few berries to complement the chosen Monin flavor.

8

Serve immediately with a straw or small stirrer. Provide a napkin or coaster.
