Meatballs Preparation

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Shape Meatballs

Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake Meatballs

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

Roast Tomatoes

On a baking sheet, toss cherry tomatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Roast in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 25 minutes, or until they burst and caramelize.

Blend Sauce

Once roasted, blend the tomatoes with fresh basil leaves until smooth. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Add Cheese

Stir in the grated asiago cheese until melted and well combined.

Pasta Preparation

Cook Spaghettini

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook spaghettini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.

Toss with Butter

Add butter to the hot spaghettini and toss until melted and evenly coated.

Assembly

Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of the buttery spaghettini topped with roasted tomato sauce and meatballs. Garnish with additional basil and asiago cheese if desired.
