Bottled Water

Method

Bottled Water

1

Prepare bottle

If using a reusable bottle, make sure it is clean. Rinse the bottle and cap with hot soapy water, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. If using a commercially sealed bottled water, confirm the seal is intact and skip to 'Serve'.

2

Fill bottle

Pour approximately 1 cup (adjust to the bottle size) of spring or purified water into the bottle. If you prefer chilled water, add up to 1/2 cup of ice cubes before sealing.

3

Optional flavoring

If you want a subtle flavor, add a thin lemon slice or a small wedge to the bottle before sealing. This is optional and should be used to taste.

4

Seal and store

Screw the cap on tightly to create a seal. If the bottle is reusable, store in the refrigerator to chill, or keep at room temperature away from direct sunlight. For best taste, consume within 24–48 hours for refrigerated open bottles, or by the date printed for commercial sealed bottles.

5

Serve

Open the bottle when ready to drink. Pour into a glass if desired, or drink directly from the bottle. If ice was used and has melted significantly, check the temperature and replace ice as needed.
