Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prep the glass (optional)

If you prefer a salted or spiced rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass and dip the rim into coarse salt or Tajín. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

    Measure ingredients

Measure 2 oz Tres Agave Blanco tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1.5 oz pineapple juice, and 0.5 oz agave syrup into a cocktail shaker.

  3. 3

    Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with ice (roughly 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted.

  4. 4

    Strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or strain into the chilled glass without ice for a neat presentation.

  5. 5

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a lime wheel or wedge. Serve immediately.

  6. 6

    Adjust sweetness

Taste and, if desired, add up to 0.25 oz more agave syrup to balance tartness. Stir gently if you add syrup to a glass with ice.
