Muddle the Ingredients
In a rocks glass, place the sugar cube and add the Angostura bitters and a splash of water. Muddle until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the Whiskey
Fill the glass with ice and add the bourbon or rye whiskey. Stir gently to combine.
Garnish
Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and drop the peel into the glass. Add a cherry for garnish.
