Method

Garnish & Glass Prep

1

Prepare the glass

Choose a rocks or coupe/martini-style glass. Run the lime wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it evenly. Spread the coarse salt on a small plate and gently press the rim into the salt to coat. Tap off any excess salt and set the glass aside.

Cocktail

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the blanco tequila (2 oz), triple sec (1 oz), fresh lime juice (1 oz) and agave syrup (0.5 oz).

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker exterior feels very cold and slightly frosty.

4

Strain and serve

Double-strain the mixture (using the shaker's strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the prepared salted glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or without ice for a chilled, neat presentation.

5

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a lime twist over the drink to release aromatics before garnishing.
