Chill the bottle of Presidente pilsner thoroughly beforehand. Ideal serving temperature for a pilsner is 38–45°F (3–7°C). If the beer has been refrigerated, remove it just before serving.

If desired, chill a pilsner glass or a tall beer glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes, or fill it with ice water, then dump the water just before pouring to keep the beer cold longer without watering it down.

Tilt the chilled glass at about a 45° angle and pour the Presidente slowly down the side until the glass is roughly three-quarters full. Gradually tilt the glass upright and continue pouring to form a 1–1.5 inch (2–4 cm) head of foam. This preserves carbonation and aroma.

If you like a citrus accent, run a fresh lime wedge around the rim of the glass and drop the wedge into the beer or serve it on the rim. The lime will add brightness to the pilsner without overpowering it.

Lime garnish

For a light salted edge, wet a small section of the glass rim with the lime wedge, then dip that section into the sea salt. Pour the beer as directed. Use salt sparingly so it complements rather than overwhelms the pilsner.
