Bubble Tea Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Cook the Tapioca Pearls

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of tapioca pearls and stir gently. Cook according to package instructions, usually around 15-20 minutes, until the pearls are transparent and chewy. Remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes before draining.

2

Brew the Tea

While the tapioca pearls are cooking, brew 2 cups of black or green tea. Allow it to steep for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea leaves or tea bags and stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved. Let the tea cool.

3

Assemble the Bubble Tea

In a large glass, add the cooked tapioca pearls. Pour in the cooled tea and add 1 cup of milk (or non-dairy milk). If desired, mix in any optional flavorings. Top with ice cubes and stir well.

4

Serve

Serve immediately with a wide straw to enjoy the chewy tapioca pearls. Optionally, you can add more sweetener to taste.
