Directions
- 1
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
- 3
Mix Tapioca Flour
Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately add the tapioca flour. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until well combined and a dough forms.
- 4
Cool the Dough
Let the dough cool for about 15 minutes until it's warm but not hot.
- 5
Add Eggs and Cheese
Once the dough has cooled, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and baking powder until fully incorporated.
- 6
Shape the Dough
Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
- 7
Bake the Pão de Queijo
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and puffed.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your freshly baked Pão de Queijo warm!
