Cooking Pasta

Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4-6 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Add Salt

Once boiling, add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.

Cook Pasta

Add 200 grams of pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes, until al dente.

Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Making the Sauce

Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Sauté Garlic

Add 3 minced garlic cloves to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes and Herbs

Pour in 400 grams of crushed tomatoes, followed by 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and 1 teaspoon of dried basil. Stir to combine.

Season Sauce

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce in the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
