Cocktail

Method

Rim

1

Prepare glass rim

Run the lemon wedge around the rim of a 12- to 16-oz highball glass to moisten. Mix 1 tsp celery salt with 1/4 tsp coarse or smoked salt on a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt mixture to coat evenly. Set glass aside.

Cocktail

2

Combine ingredients

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add 2 oz Absolut Vodka, 4 oz tomato juice, 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice, 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp prepared horseradish, 3 dashes Tabasco sauce, 1 tsp celery salt, and 6 turns freshly ground black pepper.

3

Mix

Secure the shaker lid and roll (or shake very briefly, about 3–5 seconds) to combine and chill the mix without overly aerating it. Alternatively, stir gently in a mixing glass with ice for 10–15 seconds if you prefer less foam.

4

Assemble

Fill the rimmed highball glass with fresh ice. Strain the mixed cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice.

Garnish & Finish

5

Garnish

Thread the olive onto a cocktail pick (if using) and rest it on the rim. Add the celery stalk and the lemon wedge to the glass. Give the drink a final gentle stir with the celery stalk or a bar spoon to integrate the garnish flavors.

6

Adjust heat

Taste and, if desired, add additional Tabasco by dash to increase heat, or a pinch more celery salt to enhance savory notes. Serve immediately.
