Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Beef

In a large bowl, combine ground Certified Angus beef with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions (about 0.5 pounds each) and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

3

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a stovetop, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Burgers

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness. Add cheese slices on top in the last minute of cooking if desired.

5

Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for a minute. Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard as desired. Add the top half of the bun.

6

Serve

Serve the burgers hot with your choice of sides and enjoy!
