1

Prepare glass

If serving over ice, fill the serving glass with about 1/2 cup ice and set aside. If serving neat, skip this step and chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes.

2

Build cocktail in shaker

Add 1 cup of ice to a cocktail shaker tin. Pour in 2 oz coconut rum, 1 oz vodka, and 3 oz pineapple juice. Drop in the fresh lemon slice (whole slice or half slice) to chill and lightly infuse while shaking.

3

Shake

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and you see condensation. The goal is to fully chill and slightly dilute the drink.

4

Strain & serve

Open the shaker and strain the chilled cocktail into the prepared serving glass. If the glass has ice, use a fine or Hawthorne strainer to keep out excess shards. If serving neat, double-strain to remove any small ice chips and lemon bits.

5

Garnish & finish

Float the used or a fresh lemon slice on the surface or place it on the rim. Serve immediately with a cocktail napkin or straw if desired.
