Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the strip steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Add the seasoned strip steak to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.

  3. 3

    Add Mozzarella

In the last minute of cooking, place slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the steak and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Prepare Garlic Rolls

While the steak is cooking, slice the garlic rolls in half. Mince the fresh garlic and mix with a little olive oil. Spread the garlic mixture on the cut sides of the rolls.

  5. 5

    Toast the Rolls

Place the rolls under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden and toasted.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Dish

Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the steak and place it on the toasted garlic rolls. Garnish with fresh parsley.
