Stuffed Hot Banana Peppers

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the hot banana peppers and carefully remove the seeds and membranes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filling

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent. Add the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Stir in the cooked rice, then remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Peppers

Stuff each banana pepper with the beef and rice mixture, packing it tightly. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the stuffed peppers.

  5. 5

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the stuffed hot banana peppers with garlic bread slices on the side.
