Shredded bread, dates and honey
In a large bowl, soak the shredded bread in water for about 5 minutes, until softened. Drain excess water and set aside.
In a saucepan, combine chopped dates, honey, and a little water over medium heat. Stir until the dates are softened and the mixture becomes syrupy, about 5-7 minutes.
In a serving dish, layer the soaked shredded bread at the bottom. Pour the warm date and honey mixture over the bread, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top.
If desired, top with chopped nuts for added texture and flavor. Serve warm or at room temperature.
