Method

Steak Preparation

1

Season the Steak

Take the ribeye steak and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

2

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat for about 10-15 minutes.

3

Oil the Grill Grates

Using a paper towel dipped in olive oil, wipe the grill grates to prevent sticking.

4

Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak on the hot grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes.

5

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

6

Boil the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

7

Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes are tender, drain the water and return them to the pot. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the potatoes until smooth.

8

Add Butter and Milk

Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until creamy and smooth.

9

Serve

Scoop the mashed potatoes onto a plate and serve alongside the grilled ribeye steak.
