Method

Nocino Namelaka Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Gelatin

Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Heat Cream and Milk

In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Melt Chocolate

Add the chopped dark chocolate to the warm cream mixture and stir until melted and smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Stir in the soaked gelatin and nocino liqueur until fully incorporated.

  5. 5

    Chill Mixture

Pour the mixture into a container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Saba Roasted Figs Preparation

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 7

    Prepare Figs

Place the halved figs in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil and saba.

  3. 8

    Roast Figs

Roast the figs in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until they are caramelized and tender.

Sugar Fried Walnuts Preparation

  1. 9

    Prepare Sugar Mixture

In a saucepan, combine water and granulated sugar over medium heat.

  2. 10

    Fry Walnuts

Once the sugar dissolves, add chopped walnuts and stir until they are coated and golden brown. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Honeycomb Candy Preparation

  1. 11

    Cook Sugar and Honey

In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and honey over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

  2. 12

    Add Baking Soda

Once the mixture reaches a golden color, remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda. The mixture will bubble up.

  3. 13

    Cool and Set

Pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Pie Crust Preparation

  1. 14

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

  2. 15

    Cut in Butter

Add the cubed chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. 16

    Add Ice Water

Gradually add the ice water, mixing until the dough comes together. Do not overwork it.

  4. 17

    Chill Dough

Form the dough into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  5. 18

    Roll Out Dough

Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to fit your pie dish. Place in the dish and trim the edges.

  6. 19

    Pre-bake Crust

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and pre-bake the crust for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.
