Cocktail

1

Prepare shaker

If rimming the glass, run the lime wedge around the edge of a rocks or coupe glass and dip the rim into a small plate with the fine sea salt or smoked salt. Set the glass aside to let the rim adhere.

2

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add the reposado tequila (2 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), fresh grapefruit juice (0.5 oz), Cointreau (0.5 oz), agave nectar (0.5 tsp), and 2 dashes of orange bitters.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with 5–6 ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. The grapefruit and lime should be fully integrated and slightly frothy.

4

Strain

Double-strain the contents into the prepared glass (over fresh ice if using a rocks glass, or neat into a chilled coupe). Use a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer if available to remove small ice shards and pulp.

Garnish & Serve

5

Express the grapefruit twist over the drink by holding the twist skin-side down above the glass and giving it a quick squeeze to release the oils, then rim the glass with the twist and drop it into the drink or place the grapefruit wheel on the rim. If served on the rocks, add fresh serving ice (about 1 cup) to the glass before straining.

6

Serve immediately. The Casa Noble balances the warm oak and vanilla of reposado tequila with bright citrus and a hint of bitterness from the grapefruit and orange liqueur. Stir once gently if served on ice to integrate.
