Chopped Salad Ingredients

Method

Chopped Salad Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. This should take about 7-10 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Boil the Eggs

In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 9-12 minutes, depending on how hard you want the yolks. Once done, transfer them to an ice bath for about 5 minutes. Peel and chop the eggs.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cherry tomatoes, dice the cucumber, and finely chop the red onion.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Add the chopped eggs and crumbled bacon.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese and Dressing

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the salad and drizzle the ranch dressing on top. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Mix and Serve

Toss the salad gently until all ingredients are well combined and coated with dressing. Serve immediately in individual bowls or on a large platter.
