Method
Muffin Batter Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it with cooking spray.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 3
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
Add Blueberries
Fold in the fresh blueberries until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 6
Fill Muffin Tin
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 8
Cool
Remove the muffins from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Chocolate Sauce Preparation
- 9
Heat Cream
In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
- 10
Melt Chocolate
Remove from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 11
Cool Slightly
Let the chocolate sauce cool slightly before using it to drizzle over the muffins.
Strawberry Jam Preparation
- 12
Prepare Strawberries
Wash and hull the fresh strawberries, then chop them into small pieces.
- 13
Cook Jam
In a saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens (about 15-20 minutes).
- 14
Cool Jam
Remove from heat and let the jam cool before serving. The jam will thicken more as it cools.
