Method

Muffin Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Stir until just combined. It’s fine if there are a few lumps. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Fold in Blueberries

Gently fold in the fresh blueberries to the muffin batter.

  6. 6

    Fill Muffin Tin

Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool

Remove muffins from the oven and allow them to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Sauce Preparation

  1. 9

    Heat Cream

In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer.

  2. 10

    Melt Chocolate

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the dark chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.

Strawberry Jam Preparation

  1. 11

    Prepare Strawberries

In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh strawberries and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until the strawberries release their juices.

  2. 12

    Cook Jam

Add lemon juice and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 13

    Cool Jam

Remove from heat and let the jam cool before transferring it to a jar.
