Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Swordfish

In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add swordfish steaks and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare Artichokes

Trim and halve the artichokes. In a pot of boiling water, cook artichokes for about 10-15 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté Wild Onions

In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped wild onions until soft, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Grill the Swordfish

Heat the grill to medium-high. Grill swordfish steaks for about 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked through and grill marks appear.

  2. 5

    Grill the Artichokes

On the grill, place the boiled artichokes cut-side down. Grill for 3-4 minutes until they get a nice char.

Making Piccata Sauce

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet used for wild onions, melt butter over medium heat. Add capers and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the cooked wild onions and chopped parsley.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve grilled swordfish topped with piccata sauce, alongside grilled artichokes.
