Method

Camembert Custard Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the custard

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). In a blender, combine Camembert cheese, heavy cream, eggs, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Bake the custard

Pour the custard mixture into a greased ramekin. Place the ramekin in a baking dish filled with hot water (bain-marie) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.

Baked Apple Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the apples

Core and slice the apples. In a baking dish, place the apple slices, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, and dot with butter.

  2. 4

    Bake the apples

Bake in the oven alongside the custard for about 25 minutes or until tender.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the asparagus and artichokes

Steam the asparagus and artichokes until just tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Plate the dish

Once the custard and apples are done, carefully remove them from the oven. Serve the custard on a plate, alongside the baked apples, asparagus, and artichokes. Shave black truffle over the top for garnish.
