Brownie Directions

1

Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.

3

Mix Sugars and Eggs

In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the sugar and egg mixture. Stir until fully combined.

5

Add Dry Ingredients

Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

6

Add Vanilla

Stir in the vanilla extract.

7

Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

8

Cool and Serve

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with raspberry sauce.
