Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

2

Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

3

Prepare the Asparagus

While the salmon is marinating, rinse the asparagus under cold water. Trim the tough ends off and set aside.

Grilling

4

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C).

5

Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has nice grill marks.

6

Grill the Asparagus

While the salmon is grilling, toss the asparagus with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place the asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the grates or in a grill basket. Grill for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and slightly charred.

Serving

7

Plate the Dish

Once the salmon and asparagus are cooked, remove them from the grill. Plate the grilled salmon with the asparagus on the side.

8

Garnish with Lemon and Parsley

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salmon and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
