Method

Prepare Coffee

1

Brew and sweeten

Brew 1 cup of strong hot coffee. Pour the hot coffee into a preheated heatproof glass or mug and stir in 1 teaspoon granulated sugar until fully dissolved.

Assemble Cocktail

2

Add spirits

Carefully pour 1 ounce brandy and 1 ounce dark crème de cacao into the sweetened hot coffee. Stir gently for 10–15 seconds to incorporate and warm the spirits without losing heat.

Finish & Serve

3

Top with cream

Gently float about 2 tablespoons freshly whipped cream on top by spooning it over the back of a spoon so it sits on the surface of the hot coffee.

4

Garnish

Lightly grate chocolate or dust with about 1 teaspoon cocoa powder over the whipped cream. Serve immediately with a small spoon; instruct guests to sip the hot coffee through the cream.
