Sangria Base (per glass)

Method

Prepare Fruit

1

Slice and prep

Thinly slice 1/2 orange and 1/4 lemon (per glass). Halve 6 seedless green grapes and 3 raspberries or 3 halved small strawberries if using. Place prepared fruit in a small bowl.

2

Lightly muddle the orange slices and halved grapes in the bowl 2–3 times with a muddler or back of a spoon to release some juice and oils, but do not pulverize; you want pieces, not purée.

Build the Glass

3

Add fruit and sweetener

Place the muddled fruit and remaining prepared fruit into a chilled wine glass. Add 0.25 fl oz simple syrup (or honey syrup) and 0.25 fl oz fresh lemon juice over the fruit.

4

Add spirits and wine

Pour 0.25 fl oz orange liqueur into the glass, then pour 6 fl oz chilled Moscato over the fruit and liqueur.

5

Top with bubbles

Gently top the glass with 2 fl oz Movendo or club soda to add effervescence. Stir gently once or twice with a bar spoon to combine flavors without flattening bubbles.

6

Add ice and garnish

Add approximately 1 cup of ice (enough to fill the glass without overflowing). Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and one thin orange wheel on the rim or floated in the glass.

Serve

7

Present immediately while chilled and effervescent. Advise guest to stir lightly before sipping so fruit flavors distribute. Optional: provide a straw or long spoon for scooping fruit.
