Method
Prepare
Chill glass
Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.
Mixing
Measure and combine
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 3/4 full). Pour in 2 oz Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka, 0.75 oz triple sec, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice.
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and well-chilled.
Add splash
Open the shaker and add a 0.5 oz splash of cranberry juice (adjust up to 0.75 oz if you prefer a fruitier, sweeter profile). If you prefer a touch sweeter, add 1/4–1/2 teaspoon simple syrup here and give the shaker a quick 3–4 second shake to incorporate.
Finish & Serve
Strain
Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail from the shaker into the chilled martini or coupe glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp.
Garnish
Float a lime wheel or a lime twist on the rim, and drop 1–2 fresh cranberries into the drink if using. Serve immediately.
