Pizza Base and Toppings
Method
Preparation and Cooking
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking the pizza.
Prepare the Pizza Base
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a round shape to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
Add Pomodoro Sauce
Spread the pomodoro sauce evenly over the surface of the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Layer the Cheeses
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and asiago cheeses evenly over the sauce, followed by the crumbled gorgonzola and grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Drizzle olive oil over the top of the cheese layer for added flavor.
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Allow it to cool for a minute, then garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
