Cocktail Preparation
Muddle the Ingredients
In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar cube and water until dissolved. Add the bitters and a splash of bourbon, then stir to combine.
Add the Bourbon
Pour the remaining bourbon over the muddled mixture. Stir gently to combine.
Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes, then stir again to chill the drink.
Garnish
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release the oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
