Method

Preparation

1

Wash and prep fruit

Rinse all fruit under cold water. Peel the oranges and grapefruit, removing the thick outer peel and as much of the white pith as possible. Remove membranes from orange and grapefruit segments if you prefer less bitterness. Core the apple and cut into quarters (leave the skin on). If using fresh pineapple, remove peel and core and cut into roughly 1-inch chunks.

2

Prepare cranberries

If using fresh cranberries, rinse and discard any soft or damaged berries. If using frozen cranberries, place them in a bowl to thaw slightly (5–10 minutes) so they blend more smoothly.

Juicing / Blending

3

If using a juicer

Feed the orange segments, grapefruit segments, apple quarters, pineapple chunks, and cranberries through the juicer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Collect juice in a pitcher. Taste and, if desired, stir in up to 1 tablespoon honey or agave for additional sweetness. If the juice is too strong or pulpy, add filtered water, 1/4 cup at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

4

If using a blender

Place orange segments, grapefruit segments, apple pieces, pineapple chunks, and cranberries into the blender. Add 1/2 cup of filtered water to help blending. Blend on high until smooth (30–60 seconds). If the mixture is too thick, add additional water in 1/4-cup increments. For a smoother juice, strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a pitcher, pressing with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Sweeten with honey or agave to taste if desired.

5

Adjust and chill

Taste the juice and adjust sweetness or dilution as needed. If serving immediately, add ice cubes to glasses. For chilled juice, refrigerate the pitcher for at least 30 minutes before serving. Stir well before pouring, as natural separation may occur.

Serving

6

Pour juice into glasses over ice if desired. Garnish with a thin slice of orange or a few whole cranberries on top. Serve immediately for best flavor and freshness. Leftover juice can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours; shake or stir before serving.
