Glass of Water
Pitcher (optional, serves 6)
Method
Glass of Water
Add ice
Place 3 ice cubes into the glass. Adjust number of ice cubes to personal preference.
Pour water
Pour 1 cup (about 240 ml) of cold filtered water into the glass over the ice. Leave a small gap at the top to avoid spills.
Garnish (optional)
If desired, add 1 lemon slice on the rim or drop it into the water and add a mint sprig for aroma. Gently stir once with a spoon if you added garnish.
Serve immediately or let rest for 30–60 seconds to slightly infuse with lemon or mint. Consume while cold.
Pitcher (optional)
Prepare pitcher
Use a clean pitcher. For extra-chilled water, chill the empty pitcher in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes.
Add ice and garnishes
Place 12 ice cubes into the pitcher. Add 6 lemon slices and 6 mint sprigs if using. These are optional and intended to lightly flavor the water.
Pour water
Pour 8 cups (about 1.9 liters) of cold filtered water into the pitcher over the ice and garnishes.
Infuse briefly
Allow the pitcher to sit in the refrigerator for 10–30 minutes if you want a subtle lemon or mint infusion. Otherwise, serve immediately.
To serve, pour into individual glasses. Replenish ice or water as needed. Store any leftover water in the refrigerator and consume within 24–48 hours for optimal freshness.
