Dough Ingredients

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, vegetable oil, and salt. Heat over medium heat until it begins to boil, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Mix Tapioca Flour

Once the mixture reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add the tapioca flour. Stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  4. 4

    Cool the Mixture

Allow the dough to cool for about 15 minutes, until it is warm but not hot to the touch.

  5. 5

    Add Eggs and Cheese

Once the dough has cooled, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, fold in the grated Parmesan cheese until evenly incorporated.

  6. 6

    Shape the Dough

Using your hands, shape small balls (about the size of a golf ball) from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Cheese Bread

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese bread is puffed up and lightly golden on the top.

  2. 8

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving warm. Enjoy your Pão de Queijo!
