Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and unsalted butter. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mixture

Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture continuously using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to prevent it from burning, until it thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cool the Mixture

Once the mixture has thickened and you can see the bottom of the pan while stirring, remove it from heat. Pour it into a greased plate or bowl and let it cool to room temperature.

  4. 4

    Shape the Brigadeiros

After the mixture has cooled, grease your hands with a bit of butter. Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls, about the size of a cherry.

  5. 5

    Coat with Sprinkles

Place the chocolate sprinkles in a shallow dish. Roll each brigadeiro ball in the sprinkles until fully coated.

  6. 6

    Serve

Place the brigadeiros in paper cups for serving. Enjoy your delicious chocolate truffles!
