Massage & Finishing

Method

Preparation & Ambiance

1

Set the room

Prepare a comfortable treatment area. Warm towels in a towel heater or hot water and place in a thermal bag. Fill the diffuser with the chosen relaxing blend (about 10 drops total) and set to a low, steady diffusion. Ensure foot soak basin and hot/cold water are nearby.

2

Warm the massage oils to body temperature by placing bottles in warm water for a few minutes. Arrange towels and cloths within easy reach.

Back Massage (opening ritual)

3

Client positioning

Have the client lie face down on the treatment table with a pillow under the ankles for comfort. Drape appropriately so only the back and feet are exposed.

4

Initial effleurage & warming

Apply 20–30 ml warm back massage oil. Using long, gliding effleurage strokes from the lower back up to the shoulders, perform 3–5 minutes of warming strokes to relax muscles and encourage circulation.

5

Focused kneading

With moderate pressure, use petrissage (kneading) across the paraspinal muscles and shoulder blades for 4–6 minutes. Adjust pressure to the client's comfort level, checking frequently.

6

Finishing strokes

Finish the back massage with light feathering effleurage strokes and gentle tapping around the shoulders for 1–2 minutes. Wipe excess oil with a warmed towel.

Cleansing & Exfoliation (face)

7

Double cleanse

Place one warm towel over the forehead to relax the client for 30 seconds, then remove. Dispense ~10 ml gentle cream cleanser onto hands and warm slightly. Apply to face and neck, massaging in small circular motions with a microfiber mitt or soft brush for 60–90 seconds to remove surface impurities. Remove with a warm, damp towel.

8

Gentle exfoliation

Apply ~5 ml gentle facial exfoliant (or enzyme) evenly over the face, avoiding the eye area. Allow to sit according to product instructions (typically 1–3 minutes for enzyme or 30 seconds for mild physical scrub). Using light circular motions, work the exfoliant gently for 30–60 seconds, then remove thoroughly with a warm towel.

Steam & Extraction

9

Steam application

Using a handheld steamer or a warm, moist towel over the face, gently steam for 2–4 minutes to soften pores. Ensure the steam is comfortable and not too hot; hold the steamer 20–30 cm from the face if using a device.

10

Extractions

With gloved hands or antiseptic cotton pads, perform extractions only if needed and if the client is comfortable. Use a comedo extractor gently, pressing vertically to avoid scarring. After each extraction, apply antiseptic cotton to calm the area. Keep this step brief (2–5 minutes) and conservative to prevent trauma.

Mask & Hydration

11

Detoxifying mask

Apply a thin, even layer (about 20 g) of detoxifying clay mask to the T-zone and areas with congestion, leaving cheeks and delicate areas sparingly covered. Allow the mask to set for 8–12 minutes, monitoring for tightness or redness. If client feels excessive tightness, gently mist with water to moderate drying.

12

Rinse & cooling

Remove the clay mask thoroughly with warm towels and gentle circular motions. Immediately apply a hydrating sheet mask or cream mask to the entire face and neck for 8–10 minutes to replenish moisture.

13

Cooling therapy

While the hydrating mask is on, use cooled facial roller or cold stones on the forehead and temples (light passes) and apply gentle pressure along the jawline for 2–3 minutes to reduce any redness and soothe the skin.

Facial Massage & Finishing

14

Massage with serum

Remove the hydrating mask and pat residual serum into the skin. Dispense ~5 ml light facial oil/serum into the fingertips. Perform a 6–8 minute face, neck and decolletage massage using upward lifting strokes, small circular motions over the cheeks, gentle thumb pressure along the marionette lines and brow bone, and light periorbital tapotement. Focus on relaxation and lymphatic drainage: gentle strokes from the center of the face outward toward the lymph nodes.

15

Moisturize & protect

Apply ~8 ml of an appropriate moisturizer suited to the client's skin type, massaging lightly until absorbed. Finish with ~6 ml of broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) applied evenly to any exposed areas if the client will be outdoors after the treatment.

Foot Soak & Massage (closing ritual)

16

Foot soak

Prepare the foot basin with warm water (approx. 800–1000 ml) at a comfortable temperature. Optionally add a few drops of essential oil or a pinch of Epsom salt. Have the client soak feet for 3–5 minutes while resting.

17

Foot massage

Remove feet from the soak and pat dry. Warm ~20 ml foot massage cream in your hands and perform a 6–8 minute foot massage focusing on the arches, heels and toes with thumbs and knuckles, using kneading and circular motions. Finish with long soothing strokes up the lower leg.

Aftercare & Client Recovery

18

Allow the client to rest for a few minutes. Offer a glass of water to encourage hydration. Provide brief aftercare advice: avoid heavy makeup and vigorous exercise for 12 hours, apply sunscreen before sun exposure, and maintain hydration. Schedule or recommend an appropriate follow-up based on skin type and concerns.
