Method

Cocktail

Chill glass

Optional: place a large wine glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill it with ice while preparing ingredients to chill the glass.

Add ice

Fill the chilled large wine glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice (about 1 cup).

Pour Prosecco

Pour 3 oz (about 3 parts) of cold Prosecco into the glass over the ice.

Add Aperol

Slowly pour 2 oz (about 2 parts) of Aperol into the glass. Pouring Aperol after the Prosecco helps preserve bubbles and creates a layered look.

Top with soda

Add 1 oz (about 1 part) of chilled soda water to the glass. Stir very gently once or twice with a bar spoon to combine—avoid vigorous stirring to keep carbonation.

Garnish and serve

Garnish with one fresh orange slice placed on the rim or floated in the drink. Serve immediately.
