Prepare the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and let it cool. If using, mix in the coffee liqueur once cooled.

Make the Cream Mixture
In a large bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the cooled espresso (do not soak) and layer them in a rectangular dish.

Layer the Tiramisu
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.

Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder. Cut into squares and enjoy!
