Method
Prepare & Shake
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 1.5 oz Absolut Vanilia, 0.5 oz Giffard Vanille, 1 oz Mr. Black, 1 oz cold-brew espresso, and 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer a touch more sweetness.
Add ice
Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with fresh ice (roughly 6 oz of ice by volume).
Dry shake (optional)
For a richer foam, first seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 6–8 seconds to emulsify the ingredients and create initial foam.
Wet shake
Add the ice (if you dry-shook) or continue if ice already in shaker, then shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosted.
Serve & Garnish
Strain
Remove the chilled glass from the freezer and double-strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer (and a fine mesh strainer if available) into the glass to ensure a smooth, silky surface.
Garnish
Gently place 3 whole coffee beans on the foam in a triangular arrangement for aroma and classic presentation.
Final
Serve immediately. Sip to enjoy the balance of vanilla and coffee; adjust future batches by changing the cold-brew espresso or simple syrup amount to taste.
