Water
If preparing infused or chilled water (optional)
Method
Water
Ensure your drinking water is safe: use properly filtered, bottled, or treated tap water suitable for drinking.
Pour 2 cups of cold filtered drinking water into a clean glass.
If desired, add 4 ice cubes to chill the water quickly.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
If preparing infused or chilled water (optional)
Prepare ingredients
Rinse citrus, cucumber, and mint under cold running water. Thinly slice citrus and cucumber. Lightly bruise mint leaves by clapping them between your hands or gently crushing to release aroma.
Assemble infusion
Place citrus slices, cucumber slices, and mint leaves into a 1-liter pitcher. Add 1 liter of cold filtered drinking water.
Chill and steep
Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse. For stronger flavor, steep 2–4 hours. If using immediately, add 1 cup of ice to cool it down.
Serve
Stir gently, pour into glasses. Optionally strain out solids or leave them in for presentation. Add extra ice if desired and serve chilled.
Store any leftover infused water covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours. Discard if it develops off smells or cloudiness.
