Prepare ingredients
Hull and roughly chop the fresh strawberries so they blend evenly. Juice fresh limes and measure out the white rum and simple syrup. If using store-bought frozen strawberries, thaw until slightly pliable and drain excess liquid.
Combine in blender
Add the chopped strawberries, white rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to a blender. For a slightly smoother texture use less ice (3/4 cup) and more fruit; for a slushier frozen daiquiri use a full cup of ice.
Blend
Pulse on low once or twice to break up the ice, then blend on high for 15–30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and has a slushy consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides once if necessary. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add 1/4 oz more simple syrup if too tart, or 1/4 oz more lime juice if too sweet.
Serve
Pour the blended daiquiri into a chilled coupe or rocks glass. If you prefer a smoother drink, strain through a fine-mesh sieve into the glass to remove seeds and pulp.
Garnish
Garnish with a strawberry or lime wheel on the rim and an optional mint sprig. Serve immediately with a short straw.
