Brighten & Serve

Method

Blue Lotus Tea Base

1

Steep the blue lotus

Bring 500 ml of water to just under boiling (about 90°C / 194°F). Place 2 tablespoons dried blue lotus petals in a heatproof teapot or container. Pour the hot water over the petals, cover, and steep for 10 minutes to extract color and delicate floral compounds. After steeping, strain the liquid into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the spent petals.

Citrus & Sweetener

2

Add citrus and sweeten

While the blue lotus infusion is still warm but not hot (around 60–70°C / 140–158°F), stir in 30 ml fresh lemon juice, 30 ml fresh orange juice, and 20 ml honey or agave syrup until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness; the citrus balances floral notes and adds brightness.

Natural Energy Boost

3

Brew green tea and ginger infusion

Place 1 tsp green tea and sliced ginger into a small infuser or tea bag. Steep in 120 ml hot water (80–85°C / 176–185°F) for 2 minutes to avoid bitterness, then remove the leaves and ginger. Combine this green tea-ginger infusion with the blue lotus-citrus mixture and stir well to blend flavors. The green tea adds a gentle caffeine lift while ginger gives a warming spiciness.

Brighten & Serve

4

Chill and carbonate

Allow the combined tea mixture to cool to room temperature (15–20 minutes), then refrigerate until cold (about 30 minutes) if you prefer chilled. To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup), pour 125 ml of the chilled tea concentrate over the ice, and top with 125 ml chilled sparkling water to add effervescence. Stir gently to combine.

5

Garnish and finish

Garnish with a lemon wheel or an edible flower. Serve immediately. Optionally, for a stronger energizing version, substitute part of the sparkling water with cold-brewed yerba mate (125 ml) instead of 125 ml sparkling water.
