Method
Well Drinks — Classic Highball (single serving)
Add spirit
Pour 2 oz well whiskey or bourbon over the ice. If you prefer slightly sweeter, add 0.25 oz simple syrup now and stir briefly to combine.
Top and finish
Top with 4 oz soda water or ginger ale. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to integrate without flattening the soda. Squeeze one lime wedge over the drink (optional) and drop it in.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and serve with a straw or stirrer. Serve immediately while fizzy.
Well Drinks — Rum & Cola (single serving)
Prep glass
Choose a highball glass and fill it with fresh ice to the top.
Add rum
Pour 2 oz well light rum over the ice.
Citrus and garnish
Optionally squeeze a lime wedge over the drink for brightness and drop the wedge in as garnish. Serve immediately.
Well Drinks — Vodka Soda (single serving)
Prep glass
Use a highball glass and fill with ice to the top.
Add vodka
Pour 1.5 oz well vodka over the ice.
Top with soda
Top with 5 oz soda water. Stir gently once to combine and maintain effervescence.
Finish
Squeeze a lemon or lime wedge over the drink, drop in the wedge, and garnish with a citrus wheel. Serve immediately.
Well Drinks — Gin & Tonic (single serving)
Prep glass
Fill a highball glass with ice to the top to keep the tonic cold and fizzy longer.
Add gin
Pour 1.5 oz well gin over the ice.
Top with tonic
Slowly add 4 oz tonic water down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Stir gently once.
Garnish and serve
Squeeze and drop in a lime wedge or garnish with a lime wheel. Serve immediately.
